Part-Time Project Manager

Brevity helps companies organize their knowledge, communicate better, and automate their work, all within the Microsoft 365 tools they're already paying for. We're looking for a new project manager to continue that operation internally; to keep our projects on track, our priorities straight, and our team focusing on the right things at the right time. This role is the operational right hand to the owner. You'll take ownership of the moving pieces so the team can focus on clients and growing the business. Types of Projects SharePoint configuration, training, and management; Automation of Client processes in Microsoft 365; Client document management standards; and Other ad hoc projects as company or client needs arise. Responsibilities Serve as the primary organizational partner to the company owner, proactively managing priorities, schedules, and deliverables. Lead the project management function for the company, both internal and client-facing. Identify, schedule, and manage the completion of project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Create and maintain project documentation as appropriate (client status reports, etc.). Schedule and manage Brevity team members to ensure project deliverables are met. Ensure new client set up, new project set up, project wrap up, and project archival activities are scheduled and completed according to the standardized process and using templates in the project management software. Promptly process SharePoint support service tickets to schedule and assign ticket completion within Client-specific turnaround times. Schedule, prepare for, conduct, and follow up from client, internal team, and other project meetings as assigned. Assist owner with defining and managing the completion of internal strategic projects. Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact project deliverables, timeline, and cost; keep the leadership team apprised of project progress, risks, and resource needs. Use and maintain standardized project templates, project plans, and reports in the company’s project management software. Hold team members accountable to following company standards and processes related to project management and use of the project management software. Recommend project management process improvements, as identified. PMP certification and familiarity with the agile methodology preferred. Proficient managing multiple projects or multi-faceted projects simultaneously. Experience managing multiple project contributors remotely with a strong ability to influence and motivate others. Ability to keep projects moving forward, even when the path is not clear. Proficient in project management software (Wrike preferred), Microsoft Office programs, and video conferencing software (Zoom and Teams preferred) with the ability to quickly adapt to a variety of software programs, systems, and applications. Experience in business operations in small business environments. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and shifting priorities. Familiarity with or experience in knowledge management or business operations a plus. Position Type This is a contract, hourly position. Location Nashville, TN and surrounding areas. Primarily working remotely but with the ability to meet with the company or client in‑person if needed. Hours 5-10 hours per week; varies based on project volume and phase of execution. Scheduling flexibility is available, though some availability during standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 8–5 CT) is needed for meetings and collaboration.
