The ideal candidate thrives in team settings, enjoys collaboration and mentoring engineers, and focuses on delivering value and making an impact. Location: This role requires 2-3 days a week in office in Soho, NYResponsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain web applications with marketplace middleware-specific business logicCommunicate with stakeholders. Work with Architects, Tech Leads, Product, and Design members to arrive at solutions that produce customer and business value.Mentor junior engineers. Guide members of the development team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologies.Develop concise, articulate, and detailed technical documentationLeverage Agile and Lean practicesLead a workstream, partner with product on requirements, lead technical requirements, and plan actionable tasks for the teamDesign, build, and maintain automated tests (unit and at times integration), ensuring high code qualitySupport healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achievedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field8+ years of software engineering experienceExperience as a technical lead for a product engineering teamExpertise building APIs with C# and .NETExperience developing event-driven systems leveraging Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similarExperience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, or similar approachesExperience with SQL / Relational DatabasesExperience interpreting and contributing to system designProven track-record of teamwork and deliveryFintech or Financial services industry experience with working knowledge of financial regulators and their concernsPreferred Qualifications: Experience with KYC (Know Your Customer) workflowsExperience with multiple server-side programming languages Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) or Domain Driven DevelopmentExperience with Marten for Event Store DBExperience with CI/CD pipelines and managing application deploymentsExperience with scaling systems to millions of usersWorking knowledge of the private marketFor residents of New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $209,000-$240,000 annual bonus.
