Accounting Manager

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the accounting function by overseeing transactional accounting activities, supporting month-end close and reporting processes, and helping drive internal controls and operational improvements. Accounting Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls. Supervise and mentor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members, providing coaching, training, and performance management Review and manage cash receipts, payment processing, payroll-related entries, and general ledger activity. Perform and review bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for management review. Develop financial and operational reports to support business decision-making. Analyze account activity, investigate variances, and provide recommendations to leadership. Maintain fixed asset records and oversee related accounting transactions. Coordinate sales tax filings and assist with other regulatory and compliance reporting requirements. Support annual financial reviews, audits, and requests from external accounting partners. Ensure financial records and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and properly maintained. Assist in strengthening accounting procedures, internal controls, and workflow efficiencies. Participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting initiatives as needed. Qualifications Desired: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience supervising accounting staff. Experience working within ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
