Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. This opportunity is located in Memphis, TN at a hospital facility. The assignment is a night shift position supporting the laboratory's blood bank department.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field as required by the client.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty if required by Tennessee state regulations.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• Experience working in a hospital laboratory, preferably with Blood Bank/transfusion services. (Preferred.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a blood bank or transfusion medicine setting.
• Experience with hospital laboratory information systems and standard laboratory instrumentation.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 2300-0700.
• Expected hours: 40 per week.
• Department: Blood Bank.
