Job Details Date Posted: 6/29/2026 Location: Paradise Honors Middle School Date Available: ASAP Position Head Coach, Middle School Girls Volleyball Qualifications Has the ability to organize and supervise a sports program. Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. Has substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continues to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field. Serves as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instruction and actions. Must have or be willing to obtain: NFHS Coaching Fundamentals NFHS Concussion Education First Aid/CPR Reports To The District Athletic Director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director and respective principal. Job Goal To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for team success, while demonstrating behaviors that promote socially acceptable character development, self‑discipline, self‑confidence, and pride in accomplishment. The coach will continue to upgrade knowledge through clinics, observations, and consultation, and will advise, coordinate, and support assistant coaches as needed. General The success of athletic programs influences the community’s image; public exposure and pressure for winning can be taxing but should not override the objectives of good sportsmanship and mental health. The position includes extended time, injury risk, and due‑process complications. Express intent to provide sufficient guidance; in cases not covered, the coach shall exercise common sense and good judgment. Duties and Responsibilities Has a thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Paradise Schools board and is responsible for their implementation by the entire sports program staff. Has knowledge of CAA, GreatHearts, or AIA bylaws; interprets and implements them consistently. Understands the administrative chain of communication and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels, and is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.
