About the Role  

We're seeking ambitious, results-driven  Design Consultants who thrive in a high-performance sales environment and are motivated by unlimited earning potential. As a Design Consultant, you'll meet with homeowners in their homes, present customized flooring solutions, and guide them through the decision-making process from consultation to signed agreement. You'll represent one of the nation's leading flooring companies, backed by a trusted brand, proven systems, and a steady flow of opportunities.

Job Type: 1099 – Direct Seller 

Compensation: Uncapped commission structure. Successful Design Consultants earn an average of $150,000–$250,000 in their first year, with top performers exceeding $300,000+ annually.  

What You'll Do  

• Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners and provide customized flooring solutions. 
• Build trust quickly by understanding customer needs, lifestyle considerations, and project goals. 
• Present curated product selections and design recommendations that help customers make confident decisions. 
• Prepare accurate measurements and project estimates. 
• Educate and present customers with financing options and available promotions. 
• Drive the sale from consultation to signed agreement, with the expectation of earning the customer's business during the initial appointment. 
• Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale to installation. 
• Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals. 

 

What You'll Bring  

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. 
• 2+ years of in-home sales, outside sales, or consultative sales experience. 
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. 
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. 
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage your schedule and pipeline independently. 
• Confidence in a one-call-close sales environment. 
• Availability to work evenings and weekends when customers are most available. 
• Ability to lift and move product samples and materials weighing up to 55 lbs. 
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 
• Comfortable traveling throughout an assigned market and managing a schedule that includes multiple in-home appointments per day.
