You’ll be the Controls Engineer that local manufacturers call when they’re serious about improving quality, throughput, and energy efficiency.

From chemicals and pharmaceuticals to industrial gases and discrete products, you’ll design, develop, and document automation systems that actually run the plant — not just sit in a spec sheet.

You lead project teams, sit across the table from customers, and guide a control system from concept through commissioning.

And you won’t be stuck in a narrow lane; you’ll collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and business leadership to drive projects to successful completion.

What You'll Work On

You’ll plug into multi-discipline project teams delivering automation solutions across manufacturing industries:

• Plant-wide control system projects in chemicals and pharmaceuticals
• Automation upgrades for industrial gases and batch/continuous processes
• Controls for discrete manufactured products and related systems
• PLC-based machine and process control systems
• HMI and SCADA visualizations and operator interfaces
• DCS and MES applications supporting production operations
• Energy efficiency and competitive improvement initiatives
• Customer-facing solution design and presentations

You’ll be working with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and MES applications to solve real manufacturing problems.

This is about owning automation solutions end-to-end — from requirements to tested, running systems on the plant floor.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop control systems that meet detailed customer requirements
• Document automation solutions clearly and thoroughly for internal and external use
• Lead project teams to deliver high-quality, on-spec control system projects
• Communicate directly with customers in the office and on-site to present your work
• Collaborate with customers to generate creative, fit-for-purpose automation solutions
• Travel to manufacturing sites to implement and test control system deliverables
• Meet regularly with project managers, SMEs, and leadership to assess project status
• Determine effective technical approaches to keep projects on track and successful
• Mentor fellow engineers on control concepts and project methodologies
• Carry projects through the entire lifecycle from concept to commissioning
• Use business application software (MS Office) to support project work and communication
• Flex your schedule to support off-hours work when required by customers

What We're Looking For

• Three or more years of experience with control systems in manufacturing industries
• Hands-on experience configuring PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and/or MES applications
• Solid understanding of process control or other manufacturing processes
• Track record of delivering automation projects to successful completion
• Ability to manage and execute a project through its full lifecycle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office and standard business software
• Professional, positive demeanor with a flexible, cooperative working style
• Willingness to work off-hours when required
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to complete drug and background screening

Important Requirements

Must have three+ years of experience with control systems in manufacturing industries.
