As an Assistant Manager, you will be the right hand to the General Manager. The role is full time and will require both opening (6a-3p) and closing (3p-11p) availability. We are a growing organization and there is an excellent opportunity for advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in managing a staff of approximately 20 employees, including hiring, training, evaluating and discipline.
• Forecasts daily usage of food items per shift, which requires some fundamental math skills.
• Performs daily duties, including slicing meats, prepping veggies and baking bread.
• Implement and audit Jimmy John's policies, systems and procedures.
• Completes necessary paperwork on a daily, weekly and periodic basis.
• Manages cash drawers, bank deposits and change.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
• Oversees and assists in providing great customer service to all.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have good communication skills, both with customers as well as staff.
• Needs strong math ability, particularly in addition, subtraction, fractions and percentages.
• Experience with basic usage of a personal computer.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Valid Drivers License and Insurance.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Some restaurant experience preferred.
