Technical Production Manager

As a Production Manager in our Aerospace Division, you will oversee the supervisors within the Commercial Coatings areas and have a specific focus on safety and meeting production metrics. You will manage the Manufacturing Engineers in the work center. You will play an important role in the operation and interact with production staff, cell leaders, and key leadership members of the plant.This position is located onsite at our Sylmar, CA. facility and you will report to the Operations Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesPrioritize safety and engage in safety related activities.Manages the operations of all production for Commercial Coatings areas to ensure that quality standards, delivery goals and cost reduction objectives are achieved.Manage the team of Manufacturing Engineers for the work center.Work with engineering team do drive quick material review board decisions within the manufacturing environment.Drive effective continuous improvement countermeasures with the team.Provide production process analysis and make recommendations on solutions to process improvements to hit the goal.Establish critical internal relationships with supporting systems to resolve production issues in a collaborative manner.Promote people engagement and create an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.Drive operational RCCAs to mitigate causes that impact performance to planQualificationsOnly US Citizens, Green Card holders, political asylees, or refugees are eligible to applyCurrent holder of or willing to acquire a DOD security clearance requiredBachelor's degree in a technical field, science field, or other related STEM background5+ years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, or related manufacturing environment2+ years of people leadership/managerial experienceStrong data analysis and problem solving skillsLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledgePrevious experience in Kanban and Materials Markets#LI-ONSITE#LI-PRT1#LI-MFGThe base salary range for this position is $105,000-$145,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 10% of base salary.
