Assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, multi-axis mills, and similar equipment.Choose, align, and securely attach holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.Apply knowledge of mathematics and utilize manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify product conformance.Identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts controls of machine to correct errors.Maintain safe, orderly, cleanly, and organized production area.Assist with training of junior employees and program participants.Role model proper work ethics and behaviors.Skills and AbilitiesPrevious manufacturing experience running CNC Mills, Haas preferred.Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.Experience using basic inspection equipment.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Willingness to support training needs of new employeesQualifications:At least two years of experience as a fully qualified machinist required.High school diploma or equivalent required; participation in qualified CNC training program highly desirable.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Other Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
