Parts Advisor

Job Summary

Our automotive shop is growing, and Outten Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Hamburg is seeking a knowledgeable Parts Advisor to assist our clients. Parts Advisors serve as parts experts, helping our customers and service technicians obtain the parts that they need to complete maintenance and repairs as well as overseeing our parts inventory. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, with a broad knowledge of automotive parts and a customer service mindset. Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist service technicians with obtaining parts
• Manage over the counter sales to walk-in and wholesale customers
• Provide support for all owner inquiries
• Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally
• Provide accurate prices and maintain records
• Clean and organize parts shelves and storage areas as needed
• Stock incoming parts
• Complete daily inventory bin checks
• Deliver parts when needed
• Complete other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic understanding of auto parts
• Strong teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Professional phone demeanor
• Customer service skills
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• The desire to build a career in a progressive, growing company

Experience:

• Previous parts experience (preferred)
