About the job 3rd Shift MFG Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift MFG Maintenance Mechanic needs 7-plus years mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment 3rd Shift MFG Maintenance Mechanic requires: Advanced skills and knowledge of the repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment Electric motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, PLCs, bearings, shafts, production machines and liquid filling equipment required High school graduate or equivalent, or an associate degree in mechanical technology, electrical technology, or engineering science (a plus). Vocational training: completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship or military technical training is strongly preferred. Advanced technical knowledge of machine shop operations, welding, mechanical/electrical maintenance principles (shafts, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, three-phase power, PLCs). Ability to read blueprints and possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and production maintenance work experience. Initiative/motivation and communication skills are required. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Occasionally may require lifting/moving of more than 60 pounds. 3rd Shift MFG Maintenance Mechanic duties: Repair and maintain and support equipment on both Aerosol and Hair Care Packaging lines to maximize productivity and quality including changeovers, set‑ups, installation, and adjustments. Troubleshoot machine downtime events and utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues at their source.
