Job Overview A law firm seeks a State and Local Tax Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their team in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will work with a national team serving a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, in a collaborative environment. Duties Engage in state and local tax planning, compliance, and policy matters. Handle litigation and controversy issues related to state and local taxes. Provide immediate responsibility for active client matters. Requirements 3-6 years of experience in a law or accounting firm. Proficiency in income, franchise, sales and use, excise, and property taxes. Strong academic background with excellent writing and communication skills. Client-service mindset with confidence and self-motivation. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
