Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Reading basic telemetry strips, some experience with CVA and TIA, and total joint replacement experience.

Required Credentials: Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required during onboarding; must score 80% within two attempts.

Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months, including as full-time, part-time, or PRN staff at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Cares for CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, post-cath, and total joint replacement patients. No titratable drips; Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are given at a set rate. Monitor techs are on the unit; RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift. BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Nurse aides available at 1:10-15.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend / 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Holiday requirement: for Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving, work 2 days and 1 eve or 2 eves and 1 day. No call.

Floating Requirements: First to float. May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
