Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 43-bed Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit serving a diverse patient population including respiratory, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and specialty beds
• Perform and maintain tracheostomy care and accurately read and interpret telemetry strips for all patients
• IMC-assigned RNs must manage patients on ventilator support and deliver care at an intermediate level of care
• Float as needed within similar level-of-care units based on unit need, skill set, and nursing department requirements
• Document all patient care accurately using the Epic EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements for practice in Maine)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing
• Experience with tracheostomy care and telemetry strip interpretation required for all candidates
• IMC candidates must have demonstrated ventilator experience
• Completion of required facility onboarding education modules upon start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for respiratory, sepsis, or DKA patient populations
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
