The Life Sciences practice recruits senior-level assignments spanning biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, technology, diagnostics, research tools, healthcare services, and other adjacent Life Sciences markets. The Role Our client is seeking a Principal to join its growing Life Sciences practice in Dallas. This individual will play a key role in delivering executive search assignments while continuing to expand client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice as they grow their careers. The position is well suited for an experienced executive search professional with a strong foundation in retained search execution who is looking to broaden their commercial responsibilities and progress toward a Partner-level role over the years. Working alongside experienced Partners, the successful candidate will lead searches across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biopharma services, CDMOs, diagnostics, research tools and other high-growth Life Sciences businesses, while developing their own network and business portfolio. Key Responsibilities Manage retained executive search assignments from launch through completion, partnering closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver senior leadership talent across Vice President, Senior Vice President, and C‑suite mandates. Strengthen Client Relationships Develop trusted relationships with clients by understanding their business objectives, organizational strategy, and leadership needs while providing a high level of consultative support throughout the search process. Expand Business Development Activities Support the firm’s continued growth by identifying market opportunities, cultivating prospective client relationships, participating in business development meetings, and gradually increasing personal origination responsibilities. Serve as a Market Advisor Maintain a strong understanding of executive talent trends, competitive landscapes, and leadership movements across the Life Sciences industry, providing clients with thoughtful market intelligence and strategic guidance. Collaborate Across the Platform Work closely with Partners and colleagues across practices to share market insights, leverage relationships, and deliver exceptional client service through a highly collaborative environment. Qualifications Approximately 8 or more years of executive search experience focused on the Life Sciences sector. Experience recruiting senior leadership across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, diagnostics, CDMOs, research tools, healthcare services, or related industries. Demonstrated success leading retained search engagements with increasing exposure to client management and business development. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build lasting client relationships and establish credibility with senior executives. Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
