The unit includes a combination of stepdown and floor beds, providing comprehensive care for a typical MedSurg population.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Stepdown

• Monitor and care for patients requiring stepdown level care
• Administer drips, including PCA and heparin
• Interpret and act on telemetry data in coordination with monitor techs
• Float between floors as needed
• Participate in the holiday schedule and weekend rotations

Requirements of the RN - Stepdown

• Current RN license in West Virginia, willing to wait for license if not yet held
• BLS Certification
• Experience with telemetry and drips in a stepdown setting
