Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using comprehensive evaluation tools and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Engage in individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Work closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond clinical settings.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity of care throughout the recovery journey.
• Document patient progress meticulously and in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed about advancements in speech therapy through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of start.
