Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Pay Range: $25.00-$29.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

Northeast Precast is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Machine parts according to required specifications and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Inspect finished parts to verify accuracy, dimensions, and quality.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain required specifications.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Machine Shop Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to three years of machinist experience required.
• CNC machine operation experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• CAD experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Work is performed primarily in an active manufacturing environment.
• Regular exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, noise, dust, metal shavings, oils, and other materials commonly associated with machining operations.
• Work areas may be hot or cold depending on weather and operational conditions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the scheduled shift.
• Regularly required to bend, reach, push, pull, grip, and use hands to operate machinery, tools, and measuring equipment.
• Must be able to lift and move materials and parts as required, with assistance or material-handling equipment when appropriate.
• Must be able to maintain the concentration and visual accuracy necessary to inspect parts and work within required tolerances.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwear.
• Must follow all safety procedures and remain aware of surrounding equipment and manufacturing activities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $25.00-$29.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
• Overtime eligibility in accordance with applicable law. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
