At Camp Bow Wow Lakewood South, located in Lakewood, CO, we’re looking for a dedicated and energetic Camp Counselor to join our team. As a Camp Counselor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of our furry campers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Dog Behavior and Care :
• Evaluate dog behavior, reactions, and interactions during initial dog screen evaluations (“Interviews”).
• Monitor play yards for dogs of all sizes, maintaining a continuous focus on interactions to prevent fights and injuries.
• Observe and learn animal behavior, including recognizing signs of aggression and distress, to assign dogs to appropriate play yards.
• Perform dog health checks throughout the day.
• Feed dogs and administer medications as directed.
• Cleaning and Maintenance :
• Clean and maintain play yards, cabins, and common spaces, including mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing.
• Perform dog washes, brushing, and other basic grooming tasks.
• Restock supplies, take out the trash, and assist with basic kennel maintenance.
• Customer Service and Front Desk :
• Answer phones, check dogs in and out, and verify dog information.
• Provide excellent service to pet parents, ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed.
• Additional Training :
• Attend training sessions as deemed necessary by management to enhance your skills and knowledge.

We’re seeking candidates who are passionate about animal care and meet the following qualifications:

• Experience : At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or working with animals.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to stand, walk, and supervise dogs for most of your shift.
• Comfort with crouching, climbing stairs, and lifting/moving supplies (including large dog food bags).
• Maintain balance when dogs jump or run nearby and navigate wet floors safely.
• Availability :
• Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts, with morning shifts starting as early as 6:30 AM.
• Flexible schedule, including 4-hour and 8-hour shifts, day and evening shifts.
