Windows / VMware Systems Engineer

We are looking for a strong VMware & Windows administration engineer to support enterprise infrastructure operations and major data center initiatives in Columbus, OH. This individual will be responsible for supporting and administering Active Directory environments, Windows Server infrastructure, VMware platforms, and associated enterprise technologies. The engineer will help maintain operational stability while supporting strategic modernization initiatives, including a migration from VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to different product.TOP SKILLS:Deep Active Directory expertise including: Domains, Forests, Trusts, Group Policy, User and Computer AdministrationStrong Windows Server Administration experience: Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022; PowerShell; OS TroubleshootingVMware Administration: VMware VCF; vCenter; Host Upgrades; VMware Troubleshooting; SSH administration; Operational supportPowershellData center infrastructure experienceVirtualization migration experience preferredResponsibilities include:Active Directory administration, including domains, forests, trusts, and group policiesWindows Server administration across Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022VMware administration including vCenter, vSphere, host upgrades, troubleshooting, and infrastructure supportPowerShell scripting and automationSupporting enterprise virtualization environmentsData center operations and infrastructure supportServer lifecycle managementBackup and recovery administrationParticipation in infrastructure modernization and migration projectsCollaboration with Windows, Linux, engineering, and infrastructure teamsThe ideal candidate:Has strong troubleshooting skills, enterprise infrastructure experience, a willingness to learn emerging technologies, and experience operating within large-scale production environments.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
