The Lead Desktop Support Manager is responsible for leading a team of Desktop Support Technicians while providing hands-on technical support and ensuring exceptional end-user service. This role oversees daily support operations, employee development, escalations, service delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven experience managing and coaching support personnel.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Desktop Support Technicians.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance discussions, and career development planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
• Manage team workload, scheduling, and support coverage.
• Foster a customer-focused, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex desktop and infrastructure issues.
• Monitor ticket queues, service levels, and support metrics to ensure operational excellence.
• Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and Application teams to resolve enterprise-wide issues.

• Support Windows, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers, conference room technologies, and endpoint management platforms.
• Manage hardware deployment, refreshes, imaging, and asset lifecycle processes.
• Provide executive/VIP support when necessary.
• Maintain support documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.

• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and automate manual processes.
• Develop and report on KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
• Implement best practices for end-user computing and support operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tracy, CA.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Tracy,CA.
