As a Registered Nurse in a Director/Manager role, you will have 24-hour responsibility for managing nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring the highest standards of patient care in your assigned area. You will contribute to the nursing service department by supporting its philosophy, objectives, and educational efforts. Your role will involve planning, implementing, and evaluating a nursing care delivery system that reflects the hospital's philosophy using effective leadership and management principles.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care delivery systems
• Identify and resolve departmental problems
• Maintain staffing levels to ensure safe patient care
• Provide clinical support and resources for staff
• Promote good working relationships among staff and departments
• Participate in Nursing Leadership Council and Leadership meetings
• Develop and participate in quality initiatives and policy development
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and regulatory standards
• Conduct patient and employee rounding
• Manage staff recruitment, retention, and development
• Oversee department budget and productivity goals
• Provide mentoring and leadership development for clinical coordinators
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and safety rounds
• Demonstrate knowledge and support of hospital mission and standards

Requirements:

• 5+ years of RN experience
• 2+ years of Operating Room experience
• 1+ years of nursing supervision experience in an acute care setting within the most recent two years
• Previous management experience (highly preferred)
• COVID-19 vaccine (medical and religious exemptions may apply)
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active CNOR Certification (highly preferred)
• Active Michigan RN License
