Work on a diverse portfolio of meaningful projects — from schools, libraries, and municipal facilities to water treatment plants, bridges, and infrastructure across the Chicagoland region Join a tight‑knit, collaborative team where early‑career engineers get real responsibility and direct mentorship from experienced PMs and superintendents Be part of a company with over 120 years of stability, strong client relationships, and a consistent pipeline of work across both public and private sectors Build a well‑rounded skillset across multiple delivery methods — General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design‑Build — giving you experience most firms can’t offer Work for a firm that is deeply rooted in the local community, values diversity and inclusion, and is committed to building a workforce as strong as the projects it delivers Job Details Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction — from preconstruction and project startup through closeout Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation to ensure timely resolution and accurate record‑keeping Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers to keep projects moving on schedule and within budget Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and budget reporting using project management software Attend and document owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings; distribute meeting minutes and follow up on action items Conduct field observations and assist the superintendent with quality control, inspections, and site documentation Support estimating and bidding efforts on new project pursuits as needed What We're Looking For 1–3 years of experience in a construction project engineering or related role; internship experience in construction will be considered Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred Familiarity with construction project management software (Procore, Viewpoint, or similar) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working across field and office environments A team‑first mindset with a genuine interest in growing within the construction industry OSHA 10 certification preferred; willingness to obtain OSHA 30 a plus Interested in hearing more?
