Job Description:

- Role: Surgical Technician

- Department: General Surgery

- Schedule:
- 4 days a week: Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun
- Shift: 0645-1715


- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40

- Call Requirements: No Call

- Licenses: No License Required

- Required Certifications:
- Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association standards


- Experience Required: 2 years of experience in OR, Trauma


- Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care of a technical nature.
- Supply the operating room with the appropriate equipment and instrumentation for specific surgeries.
- Maintain the sterility of the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons.
- Assist in various duties including passing instruments, applying electrocautery, and managing surgical drains.
- Care for instrumentation and equipment, ensuring everything is prepared for the next case.
- Support efficient room turnover, ensuring superb customer service for surgeons, patients, and co-workers.

- Requirements for Success:
- Ability to demonstrate behavior aligned with our core values.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and patient care skills.
- Expertise in scrub duties to facilitate the operating room process.
- Knowledge to provide age-appropriate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
