Senior ServiceNow Engineer

Role Description

Join a dynamic, fast-paced team as a Senior ServiceNow Engineer and drive the development, integration, and automation of robust ServiceNow solutions. This remote opportunity positions you as a key contributor in delivering high-performance, scalable applications across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, and Service Portal modules.

• Architect, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and scripting tools.
• Build, configure, and maintain automation test frameworks (ATF) to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Manage update sets, migrations, and the full ServiceNow development lifecycle for seamless deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Design, execute, and document manual and automated test cases across ServiceNow modules and integrations.
• Develop and support REST, SOAP, and Integration Hub integrations for enterprise-grade solutions.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline automation for continuous delivery.
• Plan and execute upgrade/patch testing to ensure high coverage and minimal disruption.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to refinement, planning, and retrospectives.
• Advocate for a quality-first mindset across engineering and business groups.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development and quality assurance, including 4+ years on the ServiceNow platform.
• Advanced ServiceNow development and scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Catalog Scripts, Integration Hub).
• Proficiency in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and experience with Selenium, Postman, or SOAP UI.
• Deep expertise across ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, CSDM, Discovery, Event Management.
• Experience with upgrade lifecycle, patch testing, and defect management.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation.
• Skilled in test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow certifications: CSA, CAD, CIS (ITSM, Discovery, Event Management).
• ITIL v3/v4 certification.
