We’re looking for an exceptional Tax Accountant to help us deliver tax & accounting work to clients.

We’re looking for an exceptional Tax & Staff Accountant to help us deliver high-quality tax and accounting services to our clients. We prefer someone with prior tax and accounting experience, but we’re willing to train the right person who is motivated, eager to learn, and committed to being a strong team player.

LLT CPAs is a growing, full-service CPA and advisory firm specializing in tax, accounting, and financial planning. We’re a collaborative, client-first practice located in Brookfield. During tax season, we operate all hands on deck—expect dedication, teamwork, and rewarding work.

Office-Based Role Only (no remote work)

What You'll Do

Tax Preparation & Planning

- Prepare and review federal & state income tax returns
(individual, partnership, corporate, trust)

- Conduct tax research and apply new legislation to elevate client service quality

- Assist in proactive tax planning—identifying savings and implementing Roth backdoors, DAF, and HSA strategies

- Multi-state tax return preparation and dealing with multiple K-1s

Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping: general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable

- Prepare month-end financials for closely-held businesses

- Support payroll, sales tax filings, and financial statement compilations

Schedule & Work Environment

- Full-time, in-office (Brookfield location)

- Busy Season Expectation: potential extended hours (50–55/hr weeks);
ample support provided

Qualifications & Skills

- 1–3 years of public accounting or combined tax/bookkeeping experience preferred. We will also consider candidates with less experience who demonstrate a strong accounting foundation, motivation to learn, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.

- Motivated, dependable and willing to pitch in as part of a collaborative team—especially during tax season

- Associates degree in Accounting or related field; Future CPA goals supported

- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel; familiarity with tax prep workflow a plus

- Strong analytical, organizational, and client-facing communication skills

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive during tax season peaks
