LLT CPAs is a growing, full-service CPA and advisory firm specializing in tax, accounting and financial planning. We’re a collaborative, client-first practice located in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

We’re looking for an experienced  Senior Tax Accountant or Tax Supervisor to join our team. We are open to hiring at either level depending on experience and are especially interested in someone who wants the opportunity to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility over time.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant looking to grow into a Supervisor role—or an experienced Supervisor looking for a long-term path toward management.

This is a full-time, in-office position at our Brookfield location.

What You'll Do

Tax Preparation & Planning

• Prepare federal and state individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation and trust tax returns
• Work on more complex returns, including multi-state filings and multiple K-1s
• Assist with tax return review based on experience
• Perform year-round tax planning, projections and estimated-tax calculations
• Research tax issues and apply new tax legislation
• Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax and accounting matters

Accounting & Client Service

• Review and assist with month-end accounting and financial statements for closely held businesses
• Help resolve accounting and reconciliation issues
• Work directly with business owners on tax and accounting questions
• Develop strong client relationships and take increasing ownership of assigned clients

Team & Leadership

• Work collaboratively with Staff Accountants, CPAs and other accounting professionals
• Provide guidance and assistance to less-experienced team members
• Help manage workflow and deadlines during tax season
• Participate in training and development of staff based on experience
• Supervisor-level candidates will have additional opportunities to review returns, mentor staff and help oversee workflow and client relationships

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of public accounting experience preferred
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• Tax return review experience is a plus, but  not required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• CPA or EA designation preferred, but not required
• QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Strong tax, accounting, analytical and organizational skills
• Strong client communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Motivated, dependable and willing to pitch in as part of a collaborative team—especially during tax season
• Desire to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site in Brookfield, Wisconsin
• Standard office schedule outside of busy season
• Approximately 50–55 hours per week during peak tax-season periods
