Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of industrial materials within our facility. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management systems will ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, safety awareness aligned with OSHA standards, and experience with various warehouse equipment to support our commitment to operational excellence.

Duties

• Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
• Operate cranes and RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, and process orders within the warehouse management system.
• Manage order picking processes with precision, including pickers and other automated systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks by inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing items for outbound delivery.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and use of warehouse management systems.
• Assist in the organization of warehouse space for optimal storage and retrieval of materials.
• Support warehouse supervision by adhering to operational procedures related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
• Conduct routine mechanical inspections of equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency and uphold safety standards across all warehouse activities.

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution or industrial materials handling roles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Prior experience with order picker systems, RF scanners, and warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery.
• Experience in shipping & receiving procedures within a construction or industrial environment.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction materials handling or similar heavy-duty environments is desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining productivity standards.
