Role Description The Trust Assistant role at First American is a full-time, on-site position based in San Diego, CA. This role supports trust officers and wealth management professionals with daily administrative activities, including preparing documentation, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate trust account records. The Trust Assistant responds to client inquiries, coordinates communications between internal teams and external partners, and ensures timely handling of requests related to trust and estate matters. Responsibilities also include organizing files, scheduling meetings, assisting with reporting, and helping to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. The role requires consistent, professional interaction with clients and colleagues, attention to detail in all trust administration tasks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, beneficiaries, advisors, and internal teams. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to review documentation, reconcile account information, and support accurate trust administration. Candidates should possess foundational Estate Planning knowledge to assist with trust documents, estate distributions, and related wealth management processes. Candidates should possess reliable Administrative Assistance skills, including document preparation, data entry, scheduling, and record management. Additional beneficial qualifications include proficiency with office and financial software, familiarity with trust or banking operations, high attention to detail, and strong organizational and time-management capabilities. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in trust, banking, or financial services, is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
