Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group in the PACU according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients, including airway, breathing, circulation, and vital signs; manage pain and recovery as ordered.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions; document responses and escalate as needed.
• Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with anesthesia, surgical teams, and other disciplines.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort; provide clear handoffs and prepare for discharge from PACU when stable.
• Use critical thinking, professional judgment, and collaborative communication to support recovery and ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; state-specific licensure as required for this assignment.
• PACU experience preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts (4x10).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines.
• Effective documentation and patient assessment abilities.
• Availability to begin on 08/03/2026.
