Overview
This travel OR Tech position in Plattsburgh, NY begins 06/04/2026 for 13–16 weeks, paying $1,656–$1,732 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Work setting: hospital operating room environment.

Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub as assigned; support OR cases across general, orthopedics, robotics, ENT, and plastics; vascular cases require specialized skills.
- Prepare sterile fields, manage instrument sets, maintain counts, assist with draping, and ensure adherence to sterile technique.
- Start IVs and assist with patient transport if central transport is unavailable; coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams.
- Maintain efficient turnover between cases; assist with specimen handling and documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Float to ASC as needed; follow unit-specific procedures and protocols; rotate with other staff according to case schedules.
- Apply appropriate safety, infection control, and privacy standards; participate in on-call and weekend schedule as required.

Requirements
- Active NY license as a Surgical Technologist; NBSTSA certification or equivalent; BLS required.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical OR experience; vascular skills are a MUST.
- Demonstrated experience with ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics; solid knowledge base across these areas; prior travel experience preferred.
- Education: Surgical Technology program completion or equivalent credential.
- Ability to work in a high-volume OR environment with the cirulate role; capability to adapt to ASC settings when floating.
- Documentation in EPIC and adherence to facility protocols; able to work in a fast-paced surgical unit.
