Mainframe Lead/Advisor

Remote (EST or CST)

Full-time/Permanent

Key Technology : COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IMS

Job Responsibilities:

Partner with client delivery lead, product owners to review requirements, associated user stories and determine a roadmap for delivery.
Partner with Solution Architects to review and validate a solution's feasibility; also make solution recommendations.
Review and analyze program specifications to determine the effort needed to make changes.
Lead the source code and data migration activities for projects identified in scope.
Lead other individuals on the team to start a task and track progress. Ensure that testing procedures, test cases, data, and validation steps are implemented and followed correctly.
Analyze COBOL, CICS, JCL and IMS changes required for the project and if needed, make code changes, test, and support the team to meet delivery timelines.

Skills and Experience Required:

10+ years of experience in COBOL, CICS (conceptual understanding is fine), JCL, DB2, VSAM, IMS
10+ years of experience designing, programming, and architecture in a mainframe environment.
10+ years of experience with RMDS/EXPEDITER/File-Aid for IMS/DB2
5+ years of experience with the management of Technical Staff
3+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries
Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in Mainframe Modernization and Migration projects
Experience in MQ and Z/OS connect integration for API services.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to establish a roadmap for operational improvement.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational and strong project management skills.
Self-motivated with ability to work well with other groups in an enterprise wide, large-scale matrix environment
Should have Healthcare domain background and sound knowledge of Medical Claims and Adjudication process.
Self-motivated with ability to work well with other groups in an enterprise wide, large-scale matrix environment.
Experienced in Agile methodology and leading a Scrum team.

Desired:

2+ years of Scrum Master experience
3+ years of development experience in AS400/ iSeries
Experience in AWS services like Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB
