Overview
Emergency Department RN (ER) – combined adult/pediatric—Potsdam, NY. Start date: 08/24/2026 for several weeks. Weekly pay: $2,028–$2,128 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (1900–0700). This travel temporary assignment is in a hospital setting and requires EPIC charting experience, with a patient mix that includes both non-trauma and trauma presentations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a blended adult/pediatric ED, including neuro/stroke, trauma, ortho injuries, ventilated patients, multisystem emergencies, behavioral health, and acute medical conditions
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient status; perform dysrhythmia recognition and ACLS-level interventions as needed
- Administer intravenous vasopressors and medications; perform central line care and blood product administration as appropriate
- Manage airway and ventilator support; collaborate with Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Rapid Response teams; provide SBAR communication to the care team
- Use EPIC for documentation and order entry; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and rapid response activities
- Triage appropriately, coordinate patient flow, and support stroke/trauma pathways; assist with procedural sedation when required
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and family communication; complete accurate charting and shift handoffs

Requirements
- License: Current NY RN license in hand to submit
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (required)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred; note mentions of a conflicting 1-year requirement—verify with AM
- Specialty/Unit experience: ED experience in adult and pediatric populations; trauma center experience is preferred
- Charting: EPIC experience is required
- Other: Ability to work nights and to float as needed; RTO restrictions apply (cannot exceed 10 days; verify with AM); distance restrictions: locals not accepted; must be >50 miles (verify distance details with AM)
