Assignment Details

• Pay: $30/hr

Position Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining strict standards for infection prevention and patient safety.

Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Prepare and distribute sterile supplies and instruments to surgical areas
• Operate sterilization equipment according to established guidelines
• Maintain accurate sterilization and quality control records
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
• Identify damaged or malfunctioning instruments and report concerns appropriately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sterile processing environment
• Work collaboratively with OR staff and other members of the surgical team

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Sterile Processing experience preferred
• Previous experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferred
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent) required
• Sterile Processing certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
