Band Saw Operator 1st Shift

Description:

We are seeking a Band Saw Operator for 1st Shift in the Wilkes Barre, PA area. The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

Operating the band saw to cut materials accurately and efficiently as specified by work orders.
Cut steel stock to correct length and measurements.
Reads and interprets basic blueprints and work orders.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by site leadership.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday
6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Requirements:

Must be able to measure material thickness and part dimensions accurately.
Must be able to read and understand forms and measuring devices.
Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment, including but not limited to band saws and forklifts.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to lift, carry, push or pull, and stand for long periods of time.
Must commit to shift days and times as scheduled.
