Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead small to mid-sized engineering projects from concept through installation and qualification. This role offers a unique blend of design engineering, project management, and hands-on field work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable designing custom equipment, managing contractors, troubleshooting machinery, and physically participating in equipment installation and assembly when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering projects from concept through completion
• Design and modify manufacturing, testing, and process equipment
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and technical documentation
• Manage contractors and coordinate installation activities
• Participate in equipment assembly, installation, commissioning, and qualification
• Characterize manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support process validation and introduction of new products into production
• Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering
• Experience with mechanical equipment, fluid handling systems, or process equipment
• Strong hands-on experience with machinery, hand tools, and power tools
• Experience managing engineering projects and contractor activities
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo/Pro-E, or Revit
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
