Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing engineer needed to support and lead the dV5 manufacturing line with emphasis on testing processes. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, driving process improvements, and collaborating across engineering and quality teams at Intuitive Surgical's Sunnyvale facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage assembly and test processes on the dV5 manufacturing line with ownership and accountability
• Provide onsite technical support for manufacturing issues and resolve failures through root cause analysis
• Develop Design for Manufacturability input for development teams on software and electrical sub-assemblies
• Execute and oversee Production Process Qualifications and major line validations
• Translate production data into actionable improvements using statistical analysis and quality metrics

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years manufacturing or design-related experience
• Proficiency with computer architecture, networking, and cloud-based systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency
• Knowledge of GMP and process controls including Six-Sigma and CPk
• Systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
