Mission: To inspire students to achieve high academic success while embracing Hmong language and culture.
Vision: To be a public school of excellence, with high quality staff, diverse programs, and successful students. Culture statement reflects who we are: HOPE is a safe space where all feel valued, empowered, and inspired. Learning at HOPE promotes cultural appreciation, character, and lifelong growth. Our scholars leave ready to lead with purpose and contribute to their community. HOPE's Values: High-Impact; Scholar-Focused; Sense of Belonging; Leadership; and Joyful Excellence. Our work for the next two years is illustrated in our 2026-2028 Strategic plan focused on four priorities - Radical Growth, Stabilizing Operational Systems, being Data-Centered, and Building Community Impact. All employees are expected to operate with high impact to continue improving the experiences of HOPE's community.
Position Title: MTSS Coordinator Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 Reports To: Chief Academic Officer & Contracted SPED Director Status: Exempt, Full-Time 40+ hours a week Contract Type: 11 month contract One (1) week off in June
One (1) week off in August. Two (2) weeks off in December One (1) week off for Spring Break. ABOUT THIS ROLE At HOPE, we do not make decisions based on gut instinct, we make decisions based on data. Our 2026 2028 Strategic Plan names "being Data-Centered" as one of our four strategic priorities because we believe that every scholar deserves a school where the adults around them are paying attention, measuring progress, and adjusting support in real time based on measurable outcomes. But data alone does not change outcomes, what changes outcomes is a system that turns data into action. That system is MTSS, and the person who builds, leads, and sustains it is the MTSS Coordinator. The MTSS Coordinator at HOPE is the architect of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework, a comprehensive, school-wide approach to identifying and supporting the academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional needs of every scholar. This role provides leadership across the entire organization, working collaboratively with and holding accountable school leaders, instructional coaches, interventionists, classroom teachers, SPED staff, and the Impact Coach team to ensure that support systems are aligned, interventions are effective, and no scholar falls through the cracks. Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer, the MTSS Coordinator is the person our school depends on to connect the dots, between data and instruction, between need and intervention, between a scholar's struggle and the team of adults who are ready to help. This role sits at the intersection of HOPE's Data-Centered and Radical Growth strategic priorities, because academic achievement, scholar growth, and proficiency gains are only possible when we have clear, reliable systems for identifying needs, delivering targeted support, and monitoring progress with fidelity. The ideal MTSS Coordinator is a systems thinker, a data champion, and a collaborative leader who understands that the most important work in a school is the work that makes sure every single scholar is seen, supported, and set up to succeed. PRIMARY DUTIES MTSS Framework Leadership & Implementation. Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HOPE's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework across academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional domains. Develop and maintain clear processes for identifying scholars who need Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support. Establish and facilitate the Student Assistance Team (SAT) process with fidelity, ensuring a clear and consistent pathway from referral through intervention and progress monitoring. Build systems that promote long-term sustainability of MTSS practices at HOPE. Data Systems Leadership & EduClimber Management. Serve as HOPE's lead facilitator for data-driven decision making, including the organizational management and utilization of EduClimber and other student data platforms. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data tools that support classroom instruction, intervention planning, progress monitoring, operational decisions, scholar support, and family engagement. Train and support staff in the effective use of EduClimber and ensure the system is accurate, current, and actionable. Data Review & Problem-Solving Meetings. Facilitate regular, structured data review and problem-solving meetings at the grade level, department, and school-wide levels. Lead collaborative conversations that help staff analyze student performance data - including FASTBridge, MCA results, attendance data, behavioral data, and classroom assessments - to identify patterns, inform instructional adjustments, and make timely intervention decisions. Help staff move from data as information to data as action. Intervention Coordination & Progress Monitoring. Coordinate academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional intervention systems across the school. Ensure that interventions are evidence-based, matched to scholar need, delivered with fidelity, and regularly monitored for effectiveness. Partner with interventionists, classroom teachers, SPED staff, and Impact Coaches to align supports and ensure scholars are receiving the right level of intervention at the right time. Staff Coaching & Professional Development. Coach and support staff in MTSS practices, intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and data-informed instruction. Design and facilitate job-embedded professional learning experiences related to MTSS, data use, continuous improvement, and evidence-based intervention practices. Build the capacity of all staff to use data effectively and to understand their role within the MTSS framework. Collaboration with Academic & Scholar Support Leadership. Collaborate closely with the Chief Academic Officer, Educational Leaders, Instructional Coaches, SPED Coordinator, ML Coordinator, and Impact Coach Manager to align MTSS efforts across all departments. Serve as a bridge between academic and scholar support teams, ensuring that the MTSS framework connects the full range of support available to HOPE's scholars - from classroom instruction to intervention to social-emotional and community-based services. MTSS Action Planning & Continuous Improvement. Develop and monitor MTSS action plans and implementation goals aligned to HOPE's 2026 2028 Strategic Plan. Track school-wide MTSS implementation fidelity and use data to continuously improve processes, systems, and outcomes. Present MTSS data and progress updates to school leadership and the Board of Directors as needed. Grant Coordination & Compliance. Serve as HOPE's designated MTSS Coordinator and primary contact for any MTSS-related grant requirements. Coordinate required grant documentation, reporting, and professional learning activities. Ensure compliance with all grant timelines, deliverables, and accountability measures. Professional Responsibilities & School Community Involvement. Fulfill all professional responsibilities including accurate data documentation, timely reporting, and participation in school-wide events and initiatives. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and data-informed school culture where staff feel supported and empowered to make the best decisions for scholars. Each staff member will participate in at least three or more school events throughout the school year. REQUIREMENTS
