Opportunity:

RN - Supervisor

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Every other major holiday expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• 6-week schedule cycle
• Average patient ratio of up to 6 patients per nurse
• Minimum 2 years of RN Medical/Surgical experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• General Med/Surg skillset required including trachs, chest tubes, reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, Lasix drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and wound vacs
• Department support includes CNA/Tech, HUC, RNs, Rapid Response Team, Phlebotomy, Charge Nurse, and centralized telemetry monitoring with tele tech
• May float to any Medical/Surgical unit as assigned by House Supervisor
• 1-shift facility and unit orientation
• Scrub color: any solid color, no logos

This medical center is a 277-bed hospital that serves as a Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center. The facility provides comprehensive Medical/Surgical care and is equipped with modern technology and a robust support structure within each department.
