Qualifications: PA Instructional Certificate: Elementary Education (PK-4 and/or Grades 4-8) Out-of-state educators and anyone seeking an emergency certificate should review the guidelines set by the PA Department of Education. Pennsylvania Certification information is available at : BA required in appropriate major study Knowledge of content in area of certification Classroom/group management skills Ability to use instructional materials and equipment Knowledge of child growth and development Instructional skills Planning Skills Human Relations Skills Must be able to organize a classroom to deliver the Upper Darby School District academicprogram Strong communication and motivational skills Ability to effectively communicate with, instruct, and work with students, staff and parents/guardians Job Goal To participate, as a member of the instructional staff, in directing the learning of elementaryschoolstudents.
