CareMind Health, the clinical services affiliate of Mindoula Health, is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director of the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland. About the Program Southern Maryland Hospital Center, owned and operated by MedStar Health, features: 24-bed adult only inpatient Behavioral Health Unit 12-slot adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Active consult-liaison service covering medical floors and the Emergency Department Responsibilities The Medical Director will serve as both a clinical attending psychiatrist and the operational leader of the behavioral health service line. Leadership Serve as Medical Director for the inpatient behavioral health program Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives Represent psychiatry at facility and executive meetings Clinical Serve as weekday attending psychiatrist for the inpatient BHU and adult PHP Lead multidisciplinary rounds and guide treatment planning Complete initial and discharge evaluations, involuntary documentation, and complex consults (including capacity assessments) Provide psychiatry consults in the Emergency Department and medical-surgical units Supervise Advanced Practice Providers, including incident-to billing when applicable Complete documentation same day with ≥95% compliance Submit billing within 24 hours Support medical student and resident education as applicable What We’re Looking For Board-Certified Psychiatrist Minimum of 3 years of psychiatry experience Strong inpatient psychiatry and consult-liaison background Leadership experience or demonstrated interest in leadership development Comfort serving as a prominent medical staff member Commitment to quality improvement and documentation excellence Why Join Mindoula?
