Job Overview Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13‑week night shift assignment in Saint Louis, MO. Straight‑through care of adult respiratory patients across units including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma; pediatric patients are stabilized in the ED and transferred to a sister facility. Patient ratios are based on a point system dependent on staffing. Utilize equipment such as Avea ventilators, LTV transport ventilator, V60 BiPAP, Bellavista (incoming), Vapotherm, and Airvo for high‑flow therapy. Use the Epic EMR system. Perform night shifts (3x12 hours), 6:30 PM–7:00 AM; weekends floating and on‑call as required by the facility. Complete a 13‑week assignment. Qualifications Active RRT license with the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care (or equivalent). Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association; PALS preferred. Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy. Adult critical care experience required. High‑volume, busy ED with trauma experience required. No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months. Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted. Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless a scheduled renewal is documented. Additional Information Preferred skills include blood gas draws, processing on GEM, and interpretation. Strong, confident therapist with excellent time management and a collaborative, team‑oriented attitude. Black scrubs required; Mercy standard scrubs must be black. Flu vaccination or an approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations not accepted. Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment. Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible but billed at a reduced rate; limited to 3 consecutive 13‑week contracts before separation or transition to a facility outside the radius.
