About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to create a future where individuals are not defined by their past records. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic fundraising leadership, partnering with the CEO to design and implement a long-term, diversified fundraising strategy. This includes managing and growing a portfolio of major donors and philanthropic partners, as well as overseeing the organization's donor communications and impact storytelling. The role demands a progressive fundraising professional with a proven track record in closing seven-figure gifts, a strategic thinker who can balance vision with execution, and a collaborative leader who values authentic relationship-building. The ideal Chief Development Officer will have a deep commitment to the company's mission and a belief in the power of second chances. They should be adept at working across departments to ensure fundraising and program goal alignment and have experience in a bipartisan or multi-stakeholder funding environment. The role requires a candidate with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of seeing new ways of doing things and with a strong focus on authentic and diverse philanthropic relationships. Personal qualities such as integrity, curiosity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire confidence and optimism are essential.
