Jr. Buyer

Yoh is hiring a Jr. Buyer for our beauty and personal care manufacturing client . In this role, you will support day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities for materials, supplies, packaging, and other products needed to support company operations. Working closely with the Purchasing Director, suppliers, inventory team, and internal departments, the Jr. Buyer will assist with purchase orders, supplier communication, inventory tracking, documentation, and purchasing data. Industry: Beauty / Personal Care Manufacturing Location: Carson, CA Compensation: $25/Hr Type: Direct Hire Job Functions Assist with creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders for materials, supplies, packaging, and other products required for company operations. Maintain accurate records of open purchase orders, supplier information, pricing, and purchasing activity. Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, pricing, product availability, and expected delivery dates. Follow up with suppliers regarding delayed, incomplete, damaged, or incorrect shipments and assist with resolving discrepancies. Support inventory tracking activities and help identify potential material shortages or excess inventory. Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels based on production and operational requirements. Enter, maintain, and update purchasing and supplier information within company systems and spreadsheets. Review purchase orders, invoices, receiving documentation, and related records for accuracy and completeness. Prepare basic reports related to purchasing activity, inventory, supplier performance, and expenses. Collect and organize purchasing and supplier data to support cost analysis and procurement decision-making. Assist with identifying potential suppliers and obtaining pricing, availability, and product information. Support supplier communication and maintain positive working relationships with vendors. Maintain organized and accurate purchasing files, records, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with Purchasing, Inventory, and other internal departments to support timely material availability. Provide general administrative and operational support to the procurement team. Perform additional purchasing and procurement responsibilities as assigned by the Purchasing Director. Education, Licensure and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and/or relevant experience will be considered. Entry level to two (2) years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, operations, or administrative support. Previous experience or demonstrated interest in the cosmetics, beauty, personal care, or manufacturing industry is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and internal departments. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet established deadlines. Dependable and responsible with a willingness to learn and develop within purchasing and procurement. Ability to follow direction while also working independently when appropriate. Strong interest in developing a career in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Physical Job Requirements Full‑time, in‑office work environment. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. May occasionally require walking to inventory, receiving, warehouse, or other operational areas to support purchasing activities.
