Environmental Services Aide

City/State: New Rochelle, New York Location: Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital and Schaffer Extended Care Shift: Day (Alternate weekends) - 7 AM to 3 PM, 7.5 hours per day Hourly Rate: $23.71 (subject to shift differential, experience, education and other factors) Responsibilities Clean premises using specified techniques and chemicals within the assigned time frame Dust and polish furniture and equipment; clean Venetian blinds, windowsills, cabinets and closets Spot‑clean walls, baseboards, and doors as required Arrange and rearrange furniture before and after cleaning Wash bathtubs, sinks, tiles, toilets, and fixtures Replenish disposable items such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels Sweep, mop, and vacuum rooms and corridors; empty and clean trash receptacles and wastepaper baskets Dispose of refuse, bag and box red bag waste, and remove bulk refuse to designated areas Maintain the housekeeping supply closet and request cleaning supplies as needed Assist with related duties, such as flood or snow emergencies, as required Requirements High School Diploma or GED Basic reading and writing skills in English Benefits Montefiore offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription coverage; flexible spending accounts; paid time off for illness, vacation, and holidays; life and accident insurance; employee assistance program; disability benefits; tax‑deferred annuity; 403(b) retirement plan; and access to a variety of insurance products and discount programs through voluntary benefits.
