Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Summerville, South Carolina Job Details: A 13‑week travel assignment in Summerville, South Carolina. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The PT will work in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, creating personalized evidence‑based treatment plans and using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Experience in physical therapy (new grads welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical exams, and history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings. Implement treatment plans using various modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment safely and maintain device calibration. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe environment with infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities. Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and spoken English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, proficient PC skills. Physical ability to remain in stationary position, move about, lift 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel with professionalism. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use equipment. Mental capacity to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under close supervision or independently, manage irregular schedules, maintain concentration.
