Head Estimator – Lead Commercial and Restaurant Project Bidding Job Overview:

• Company: Henson Construction LLC.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $60,000 to $80,000 per year (Based on experience) plus Performance Bonus.

• Location: Louisville, KY.

• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

• Project Scope: Commercial General Construction.

• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity:

You will serve as the primary architect of our project success, working closely with the owner and office personnel to secure high-value commercial contracts. This role offers the unique chance to be a key pillar in a tight-knit team where your expertise directly influences the company's growth and trajectory. You will have the autonomy to lead the estimating process for diverse projects while ensuring every bid meets our high standards of excellence.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Analyze detailed construction drawings and specifications to produce accurate cost estimates for commercial and restaurant projects.

• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and ensure comprehensive project coverage.

• Develop strategic bid proposals that reflect the company’s commitment to quality and strict project timelines.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders within the Sales & Client Relations department to drive business growth.

• Evaluate project risks and logistical challenges to provide realistic budget projections and prevent cost overruns.

• Monitor industry trends and material costs to ensure our bidding remains competitive and profitable.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional estimating experience specifically within the commercial construction field.

• Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex architectural plans and technical specifications.

• Proven track record of managing the full bidding lifecycle for diverse commercial installations.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority estimates simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Specialized knowledge of the restaurant construction industry and its unique technical requirements.

• Advanced experience in client relations and negotiating with subcontractors to optimize project outcomes.

• Familiarity with the Louisville regional market and established local vendor networks.
