This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys project-based work, process improvement, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. The position offers broad exposure to financial operations and business processes while providing opportunities to build technical accounting knowledge, project management experience, and leadership capabilities. The individual in this role will partner across Finance and business functions to analyze workflows, improve efficiencies, support financial accuracy, and assist with projects related to systems, automation, reporting, and process optimization. This position is well suited for someone pursuing or interested in pursuing their CPA designation and looking to grow within a dynamic finance organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport financial processes across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger functionsAnalyze financial workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistencyPartner with Finance and cross-functional teams to support process improvements and operational initiativesAssist with maintaining accurate financial data and ensuring alignment with accounting policies and proceduresSupport reconciliation processes, account analysis, and issue resolution activitiesHelp identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or standardizationProject Management & Process ImprovementSupport and coordinate finance-related projects and process improvement initiativesAssist with system enhancements, workflow improvements, and automation effortsTrack project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and follow-up actionsPartner with stakeholders across departments to gather information, evaluate processes, and implement improvementsParticipate in testing, validation, and implementation activities related to systems or process changesHelp develop and document standard operating procedures and process documentationFinancial Analysis & Accounting SupportAssist with account reconciliations and financial analysis activitiesSupport month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reviewAnalyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, or process issuesPartner with accounting teams to ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supportedAssist in researching and resolving financial or system-related issuesCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other business teams to support financial and operational objectivesCommunicate process updates, project status, and recommendations clearly and effectivelyBuild strong working relationships across functions to support collaboration and continuous improvementContribute ideas and recommendations to improve financial processes and business operationsQualifications RequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3-6+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Operations, Audit, or related fieldFoundational understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principlesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong Excel and data analysis skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)PreferredInterest in pursuing or actively pursuing CPA certificationExperience supporting process improvement or cross-functional initiativesExposure to project coordination, systems implementations, or workflow optimizationExperience in public accounting, audit, or operational finance environments preferredKey CompetenciesProcess improvement mindsetStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and financial accuracyProject coordination and organizational skillsCross-functional collaboration and communicationSystems thinking and continuous improvement focusAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environmentOwnership mindset and accountabilityLANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
