Building Maintenance Specialist Location: Knoxville, TN Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM | 4:00 PM to 12 AM | 12 AM to 8:00 AM Requirements: Previous facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or general maintenance experience required Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Strong troubleshooting and repair skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to mentor and train new employees on maintenance procedures and safety practices Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to interact professionally with staff, faculty, students, visitors, contractors, and vendors Job Duties: Perform maintenance and repairs on campus buildings, grounds, and utility systems Repair and maintain lights, ceilings, doors, restrooms, HVAC systems, and other facility components Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot facility issues Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient building operations Maintain campus grounds and support facility improvement projects Train and mentor new maintenance employees on job duties, safety procedures, and best practices Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and campus departments as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment throughout campus facilities Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and maintenance procedures Benefits: Solid Weekly Pay – Direct deposit or payment card, your choice.
